Dahlia finds herself plagued with flashbacks of not intervening in her schoolfriend Yasmine’s kidnapping by ISIS in Iraq. Back in London, her brother Elias is showing perilous signs of affiliation with terrorists. All the while, Dahlia is slowly opening up to a captivating new presence in London: Carys. Hastie Salih has been working as a GP for the past thirty years. She is of Kurdish ethnicity and spent her childhood between Wales and Germany. She has had short stories and poems published in anthologies and magazines, with ‘Dahlia and Carys’ being her debut novel. She currently lives in Essex in the United Kingdom.
